Change is the Only Constant that Matters

Macedonia. My new home away from home?
Looks a bit like Cyrodiil to me!
I haven't posted here for quite some time. Sorry - life. No, I'm not pretending to have one. I'm just saying the tattered remnants of my old one get in the way now and again. It looks like my visits to Botswana have come to an end. I feel sad, but there's nothing to be done about it.

As so often happens however, one door closes and all that. I'm negotiating a job that will take me to Macedonia at irregular intervals. It will also give me the thesis topic my Masters degree so badly needs. I'll be working on an epithermal gold deposit (if I can nail down the details). Macedonia will be a challenge. I've worked in some weird and wonderful places, but never one where they don't speak English.

In other news, I've just finished a course in Brownfields Exploration at Utas, and had a ball with it. I love that kind of thing. I won a bottle of champagne (or sparkling wine), for convincing a class of geologists I was right - or at least, that I was righter than anyone else.

Also Damien Smith reviewed Damnation and Dames at Thirteen O'clock, a while ago I think. I don't know the guy, but I can tell from his review, he's a top bloke. Read it here.
